Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an DATA and IT MANAGER located in Radlett. The DATA and IT MANAGER will oversee the IT infrastructure and systems within The Red House Group, ensuring that all software and hardware meet operational needs. Key responsibilities include:
· Management of Data/Recall Manager (using Ardens) and delegating tasks as necessary
· Monitor secretary posts/email including workload/workflow/referrals
· Perform EMIS searches, audits, and reports to support clinical and contractual requirements
· Complete and submit monthly enhanced service claims
· Manage weekly/monthly care home requirements
· Create and modify EMIS/Accurax templates/protocols/forms/documents
· Ensure a good knowledge of service specifications and cascade requirements to clinicians, ensuring deadlines are met
· Monitor vaccination uptake (flu, childhood immunisations, COVID)
· Coordinate clinics for the nurses and clinical pharmacist
· Monitor and support QOF, enhanced services, and commissioning targets
· Update website as necessary
· Set up IT profiles etc for new starters including NHS Smartcard
· Assist in the training of new staff on EMIS system
· Be involved in project work (e.g new software/app launch) as directed by Practice Manager; Participate in practice improvement and digital transformation projects
· Support with IT issues to ensure smooth running of the clinics – hardware/software
· Set up new IT systems as they arise including telephone systems/blood automation
· Manage 4-5 members(rota/annual leave/absences) of the support team and carry out appraisals/development support
Qualifications and Key Responsibilities
The candidate MUST have GP NHS background for a minimum of 2 years in a senior role
* Proficiency in IT infrastructure management, including hardware, software, and networking - use of EMIS/DOCMAN/AccurX is essential for this role
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills - Monitoring and supporting the achievement of QOF targets
* Understanding of GP NHS regulations related to IT and data security - Develop and maintain data recall procedures, documentation, and audit trails
* Experience with project management(immunisation/smears/cancer screening) and vendor coordination
* Effective communication and organizational skills
* Experience in a GP environment is essential
* Manage 4 support staff
