Your New Role
As an Interim Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a crucial role in managing costs, contracts, and financial aspects of our projects. Here’s what awaits you:Cost Estimation and BudgetingPrepare accurate cost estimates for construction and maintenance projects whilst monitoring project budgets and ensuring adherence to financial targets.Contract ManagementManage subcontract accounts from procurement to final accounts and review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.Quantity MeasurementAssess quantities of materials, labour, and equipment required for projects and verify quantities on-site during progress assessments.Cost ControlMonitor project costs, variations, and change orders. Identify cost-saving opportunities withoutpromising quality.ReportingProvide regular reports on project financials to senior management and collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate data collection.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
1. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
2. Experience with construction and planned maintenance programmes.
3. Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools.
4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellentmunication and negotiation abilities.
