Business Development Director – IT Services
Location: North of England (Hybrid)
About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Business Development Director to join a high-performing sales team focused on enterprise-level growth. This role is ideal for a senior sales professional with a proven track record in securing and expanding large-scale IT contracts, particularly within FTSE100 organisations.
You’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong C-suite relationships, and driving revenue across a broad portfolio of IT services and solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Drive New Business: Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities within a defined enterprise client base.
* Strategic Sales Leadership: Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver tailored, high-value solutions.
* Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including CxOs.
* Campaign Management: Develop and execute sales campaigns aligned with client needs and market trends.
* Pipeline Ownership: Maintain a healthy, rolling pipeline and ensure accurate forecasting via CRM tools.
* Collaborative Selling: Work closely with internal solution experts and external partners to shape winning propositions.
* Market Insight: Leverage industry knowledge to craft compelling messaging and uncover new opportunities.
* Risk & Compliance: Identify commercial, operational, and legal risks, ensuring deals align with business objectives.
What You’ll Bring
* Demonstrable success in enterprise IT sales, ideally within infrastructure, managed services, or consulting.
* Experience working with FTSE100 clients and navigating complex sales cycles.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills at senior levels.
* Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels, especially C-suite.
* Experience in sectors such as Retail, Financial Services, Construction, or FMCG (preferred).
* Proficiency in CRM systems and sales forecasting tools.
* A strategic mindset with the ability to execute territory plans and deliver consistent growth.
