A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Projects & Construction team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The Opportunity
You will join a well-established transactional construction practice advising across the full lifecycle of major projects — from structuring and procurement through to delivery.
The team acts for developers, sponsors, contractors, consultants and funders on substantial infrastructure, energy and real estate developments. The role offers exposure to sophisticated drafting, strategic risk allocation and cross-border collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading on the drafting and negotiation of construction and engineering documentation, including:
* Standard form and bespoke building contracts (including JCT and NEC suites)
* EPC and turnkey agreements (including FIDIC-based forms)
* Professional appointments, collateral warranties and security documentation
* Framework and umbrella agreements
* Advising on procurement models and commercial risk structuring
* Supporting the construction aspects of project financings and M&A transactions
* Working alongside real estate, energy, finance and corporate teams on multi-disciplinary mandates
* Managing matters with appropriate autonomy and supervising junior team members where required
* Contributing to client development initiatives and strengthening existing relationships
Candidate Profile
* England & Wales qualified solicitor with circa 4+ years’ PQE in transactional construction/projects
* Strong track record advising on complex infrastructure or development projects
* Excellent drafting and negotiation capability across standard form and bespoke contracts
* Commercially pragmatic with strong risk analysis skills
* Experience across sectors such as energy, infrastructure, transport or real estate
* Confident managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* Collaborative and relationship-focused approach
