Are you a Geotechnical Engineer looking to join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy where youll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects?
Our client is a well:established consultancy with a close:knit team of specialists delivering high:quality geotechnical and environmental solutions across the residential and commercial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Geotechnical Engineer to support their expanding project portfolio.
The Role
You will join a small to medium:sized team, working closely with experienced geotechnical and geoenvironmental professionals on projects ranging from housing developments to commercial and mixed:use schemes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and managing ground investigation projects.
* Interpreting ground investigation data and laboratory test results.
* Producing geotechnical assessment reports and foundation recommendations.
* Undertaking slope stability, earthworks and settlement assessments.
* Supporting geoenvironmental assessments and contaminated land projects.
* Liaising with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies.
* Assisting with project management and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Mentoring junior staff where appropriate.
Requirements
* Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geology, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience within a geotechnical or multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
* Strong report writing and technical interpretation skills.
* Understanding of geotechnical design principles and site investigation practices.
* Knowledge of contaminated land and geoenvironmental assessments would be advantageous.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
