Buying Manager
up to £78,000 DOE
North London
I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Buying Manager to join a leading national retailer within their Commercial team at their London Head Office. Offering a very flexible hybrid working policy.
You will be responsible for maximising the growth in both sales & profitability while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued development within the own brand buying department. Some of your duties will include;
1. Develop and manage the buying strategy for the specified categories within own brand food.
2. Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
3. Understand key cost drivers (and impacts) within your category and continuously identify opportunities for improvement
4. Full responsibility of negotiation of cost price increases and ensuring timelines are communicated throughout the process.
5. Continue to work collaboratively with current suppliers on reducing COGS and expand the range opportunities
6. Maintain outstanding levels of supplier service and work seamlessly with internal departments to resolve and issues promptly.
7. Always seeking new suppliers to deliver a stronger commercial offer than current suppliers, or to supply new / alternate products and categories to the business
