A well-established independent school in Reading is seeking an experienced and compassionate SENCO to join the school on a full-time, permanent basis, starting April. The Role
* Leading and overseeing SEND provision across the school
* Managing EHCP processes, reviews, and statutory requirements
* Coordinating interventions and tailored support for pupils with additional needs
* Working closely with teaching staff, senior leaders, parents, and external agencies
* Advising and supporting staff on inclusive classroom practice
* Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to whole-school development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* NASENCO qualification (or willingness to complete if not already held)
* Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school setting
* Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and EHCP processes
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A calm, professional, and pupil-focused approach
