Robert Half is exclusivily partnering with a working well-established and privately owned business to recruit a newly created Management Accountant position based in Altrincham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable and highly regarded team that manages a diverse property portfolio including retail, industrial, office, residential and land assets.
The role has been created as part of a wider transformation within the finance function and offers the chance to step into a hands-on, commercially relevant position with exposure to senior stakeholders and varied assets across the portfolio.
You'll be joining a supportive team environment where you'll work closely with the Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller but also be given the autonomy to take real ownership of your work.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of accurate and timely quarterly consolidated group management accounts
* Analysis of asset-level financial performance including variance analysis and performance metrics reporting
* Month-end close activities including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
* Business partnering across internal departments to support budgeting, forecasting and performance tracking
* Supporting the year-end audit process and statutory reporting
* Maintenance of intercompany accounts and associated reconciliations
* Driving improvements in reporting, processes and systems
* Ensuring strong financial controls and governance are in place
* Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
About You
You will be a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with prior experience in a management accounting or commercial finance role. Experience in a property or real estate environment would be highly advantageous, particularly within the commercial sector.
You will be technically strong with the ability to analyse and interpret data to support business decision-making. Strong Excel skills are essential and exposure to finance systems is helpful though not critical. Just as important are your communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across a multi-disciplinary team.
