Are you an experienced Land Drainage Engineer seeking a new rewarding opportunity? Our team are looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer to become a pivotal member of the team.
Our dedicated drainage team plays an essential role in enhancing Wiltshire's infrastructure. We take pride in inspecting, maintaining, and enhancing the drainage systems on highways and land owned or managed by Wiltshire Council. Additionally, we provide expert technical advice to internal and external stakeholders across the county.
We entrust you with overseeing the county's flood risk management and drainage improvements. Your responsibilities will include organising and project-managing the council's initiatives, integrating enhancements for environmental value, and advocating for the implementation of sustainable drainage schemes. Additionally, you'll perform technical drainage CCTV surveys and act as the emergency response contact for flooding and extreme weather incidents.
With a degree in civil engineering, or with extensive drainage experience, you will have expert technical skills regarding civil engineering, with specialist knowledge of drainage and flood risk management.
You should possess excellent communication and project management skills, with proven experience of dealing with the public and elected members. Additionally, proficiency in report writing and translating technical documents.
