Role Summary
Band 5 Education Mental Health Practitioner (CYPWP) – part‑time, 22.5 hours per week – within the Cheshire West Mental Health Support Team based in Chester & Winsford.
Key Responsibilities
* Work directly with schools, colleges and educational settings to provide information, advice and guidance through consultation and training.
* Deliver evidence‑based, Low‑Intensity CBT interventions, including 1:1 and group sessions for children, young people and parents/carers.
* Provide assessments and other interventions on an individual and systems basis under close clinical supervision.
* Engage in regular case management and receive individual and group supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Professional registration with a recognised national body (e.g. BPS, BABCP) or commitment to obtaining registration within 6 months of start date.
* Applicants without registration will be offered a 6‑month fixed‑term contract pending completion of registration, with the contract amended to permanent once registration is confirmed.
* Band 4 trainee EMHP/CYWP candidates expected to qualify by September 2026 will be considered.
Working Conditions
Start dates are fixed monthly; induction follows the Prepare to Care (P2C) programme, providing up to 3 weeks of training and support.
