About The Job
Genesis Materials & Corrosion team are currently looking for a recent graduate or an early career engineer working towards Chartership to join the team in the UK permanently.
The purpose of the job is to produce deliverables under the direction/supervision of a Lead/Principal Engineer.
This involves performing materials selection and corrosion assessment‑related studies and assisting in the performance of engineering and field development projects across upstream, downstream, renewables and low‑carbon energy markets.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
* Assist with engineering studies (corrosion assessments and materials selections)
* Run proprietary software and design packages
* Perform engineering calculations (e.g., corrosion and erosion)
* Produce project engineering documents (materials selection, corrosion management)
* Write technical notes to report study results
* Assist with preparation, checking or approving engineering deliverables

About You
Our essential requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
* First degree in materials engineering (minimum)
* Experience in relevant materials‑related placements or employment, preferably in the energy sector
* Good communicator and strong team player
Required Competencies
* Understanding of materials types, materials selection and performance assessment
* Ability to maintain good relationships with internal and external clients
* Work independently in a team environment
* Demonstrate repeatability and constant improvement across geographic, technical and cultural differences
* Assist in the application and maintenance of engineering processes, systems and tools (software)
* Good computer literacy, especially MS Office
* Full command of the English language, written and spoken
