About The Role
We are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing facility in Barton-upon-Humber. The role follows a rotating shift pattern, consisting of four 10-hour shifts per week. The salary for this position is up to £41,000 depending on the experience.
Main Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
* Provide rapid and professional response to breakdowns.
* Fault finding, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time.
* Maintain engineering standards to maximize operational effectiveness and reliability of the factory and associated systems.
* Assist specialist subcontractors with PPM and reactive works.
* Utilize the CMMS system (ShireSystem) to record all works.
* Follow all company and site health & safety procedures.
* Adhere to the company’s compliance obligations, policies, processes, and procedures.
* Keep all company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable condition.
* Proactively support the continued success of the business with a can-do attitude.
* Complete any other tasks as requested by management.
Additionally, as a responsible person, you must read, understand, and adhere to policies and procedures related to health and safety, as outlined in the IMS Responsibilities document.
