Job Description Customs Administrator (9 month FTC) Lutterworth Full time, 37.5hrs £28k-£30k DOE Our market leading client are looking for a meticulous and reliable Customs Administrator to provide essential support & manage customs admin processes. This role plays a critical part in facilitating smooth international trade operations and ensuring strict adherence to all customs regulations and requirements. Key Responsibilities Coordinate customs administration for both inbound and outbound shipments Execute technical and commercial customs-related tasks with accuracy Communicate with clients and carriers to resolve documentation gaps or missing information Maintain and update the customs broker and client databases Oversee management of preference documents and ensure proper control Complete and file TSS declarations in a timely manner Manage client billing processes and review supplier invoices for approval Support customs audits conducted by the global compliance team Administer and reconcile the Duty Deferment Account The Ideal Candidate: Minimum of 1 year experience in a customs-related role Solid understanding of UK import/export regulations and customs compliance Familiarity with customs documentation codes and preferential trade agreements Skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel Strong organizational skills, including document management and accurate record-keeping Experience with billing processes and document archiving Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally with clients and logistics partners
