Director of Programmatic DOOH (Digital Out of Home)
Location: Central London (Hybrid)
Salary: Circa £125,000 + Bonus & Benefits
Type: Full-Time, Permanent, 2-3 Days per week in Central London
Role Purpose
We are working with a FTSE 250 client who are looking for a commercially driven Director of Programmatic DOOH to lead the development of a programmatic led media unit. This individual will build their media strategy, enhancing the value of their advertising estate, and generating new income streams across Digital Out of Home (DOOH) formats.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth understanding of programmatic media in DOOH, a strong network within the agency and AdTech ecosystems, and a proven track record of commercial leadership.
We need someone who can work at pace and challenge the business into a new way of working. This role is going to be the first of its kind in house & has the potential to change the landscape of how this company generates revenue in the years to come.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Development & Execution
* Define and execute the client's DOOH and programmatic media strategy, with a focus on scaling monetisation across assets.
* Develop and build the in-house media unit to deliver commercial success and operational excellence.
* Lead cross-functional initiatives to take the estate into the programmatic landscape and ensure alignment with wider commercial goals.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
* Establish and grow relationships with Demand Side Platforms (DSPs), SSPs, and priority AdTech partners to drive revenue and innovation.
* Build strong working relationships with agencies, independent trading desks, and technology vendors to expand demand and adoption.
Commercial Growth & Performance
* Deliver and exceed revenue targets through programmatic monetisation strategies, aiming to double media income within 5 years.
* Identify new brand opportunities including full-site takeovers, experiential integrations, and audience-led solutions.
Data, Insights & Technology
* Oversee the development of the client’s AdTech architecture to support scalable programmatic buying.
* Use analytics to define campaign objectives, targeting criteria, and performance measurement frameworks.
* Collaborate with internal marketing and commercial teams to create compelling brand narratives powered by data.
Experience
* Proven experience in OOH/DOOH advertising, media sales, or as a Digital Media Trader within an agency or media owner environment.
* Strong track record in programmatic advertising, with deep knowledge of DSPs, SSPs, and programmatic infrastructure.
* A well-established network across UK media agencies, trading desks, and AdTech platforms.
