Wood Process & Energy is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join us on a contract basis.
The role will be based on a client site in Ware and would welcome applications from candidates with a strong background in Pharmaceuticals or FMCG.
Work scope:
1. Application of Wood and client health and safety standards within the working environment and design process
Ability to maintain safe working practices through all stages of a project with a focus on the assessment and mitigation of safety issues through design
2. Working in/leading multi-discipline teams delivering work packages in accordance with the requirements of quality and environmental management systems qualified to ISO standards
3. Application of pressure systems and ability to assist client when required
4. Be able to manage work scope and interfaces between all engineering disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of assigned work packages
5. Ability to review vendor documents and identify any problem areas
6. Evidence of experience of management of change
7. Active management of plant changes in a controlled and safe way
8. Understanding of what GMP, GDP and ALCOA are
9. Monitoring and reviewing engineering progress with Project Services and Engineering disciplines
10. Ability to be a focal point for assigned projects, managing issues that require expediting or resolution
11. Experience organising, attending, and preparing reports

Who we are looking for:
15. Experience in engineering delivery design/operation of black utility systems. plant steam, effluent drainage etc.
16. Integration of design schedule to procurement and/or fabrication schedules
17. Preparing and checking scope of work specifications, project procedures and project reports
18. Ability to take on tasks delegated by Project Manager or Engineering Manager
19. Ability to produce detailed execution plans
20. Preparing projects budgets, controlling costs during delivery and provide detail forecasts for presentation to internal and external stakeholders
21. Forecast manning level to support the contract portfolio
22. Prepare procurement strategies and continual engagement with suppliers and sub-contractors
23. Assisting with responses to site queries from the ‘business as usual’ team
24. Able to engage with multiple engineering disciplines
25. Demonstrable experience of delivery through full project and validation life cycle; URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ and handover to production
