We are currently recruiting for a Production Materials Handler for our Leicester plant. This is an excellent opportunity to join us at leadership level in a division that drives the business forward through efficient parts and supplies management.
The Materials Handler will be joining the Stores and Production team to manager all parts and supplies to the Production and Assembly areas to ensure they are fully stocked at all times and ensue they have the products to complete the machine builds. A Production Materials Handler must be able to undertake physical duties including bending, lifting and carrying. The roe also involves stock management to ensure consistent supply of parts to the assembly line liaising with the Planning and Purchasing departments for stock issues and requirements and the Quality department for any component issues. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the development of efficient working methods by way of LEAN tools for the delivery objectives of the department, identify problems, recommend solutions and drive implementation through the use of Continuous Improvement.

WHAT IS INVOLVED
1. Daily replenishment of kit trollies and trays for each assembly line operator to ensure completion of orders
2. Reactive attendance to all operators in the event of stock outs, parts required urgently, and replacement of faulty items.
3. Initiation of non-conforming processes, liaising with the quality department for faulty part identification and replacement process
4. Identify areas for improvement in relation to process steps and deliverable method to increase efficiency
5. Working with the Materials Manager, Production Manager and CI team, implement LEAN principles and processes
6. Organize and manage physical and system based stock locations to streamline procedures
7. Involvement when required in completing and overseeing stock cycle count and annual full stock takes
8. Working closely with the Buyers to advise of low or non-stock issues, or ad hoc consumable product required on the factory floor
9. Liaising with the Planner to ensure timely supply of raw materials to the assembly lines in accordance with the output demand for alternative spec machines on an ad hoc basis and to advise of any impacts which may alter the production schedule
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
* Computer Literate and able to keep records accurately
* Excellent time keeping and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
* Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changes, delays or unexpected events
* Ability to prioritize and schedule task to ensure timely completion of job responsibilities
* Interpersonal skills and ability to work twit all employees at all levels of management
