The Health and Safety Advisor / Manager will provide advice to school clients and manage a team of three H&S professionals.
Responsibilities
* Provide health and safety advice to school clients via phone, email, and site visits.
* Visit client sites and complete audit processes.
* Provide support for accident reporting and guidance on RIDDOR reports.
* Advise on specialist areas such as asbestos, legionella, fire, contractor control, administration of medicines, manual handling, working at height, risk assessments, COSHH, DSE, and DfE guidance.
* Research information required to provide detailed health and safety guidance and technical support to clients and consultants.
* Assist in writing guidance notes, standard policies, and checklists.
* Manage a team of three H&S professionals.
Essential Qualifications
* Diploma in Health and Safety or willingness to work towards successful completion.
* Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate.
* Membership of IOSH or experience writing risk assessments.
* Active participation in a continuing professional development (CPD) programme.
* Full driving licence with appropriate motor insurance.
* Access to a motor vehicle each working day.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Qualification in delivering teaching to adults.
Desirable Qualifications
* Previous experience providing H&S consultancy services within a customer-facing education environment.
* Additional NEBOSH certificates in Fire and/or Construction.
