With an average of150 joint replacements per month, primarily hips and knees, we are broadening our therapy services to include a dedicatedSenior Occupational Therapist. This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop this new role as part of the orthopaedic service and to be an integral part of a growing and forward-thinkingMultidisciplinaryTeammaking a meaningful difference in patient outcomes.
Main duties of the job
* Provide expert assessment and treatment for patients with complex needs in both inpatient and pre-assessment settings.
* Contribute to our expanding orthopaedic pathway, supporting patients through their recovery and maximising independence.
* Collaborate within an evolving multidisciplinary team committed to evidence-based care and clinical excellence.
* Supervise and mentor therapy assistants and students, while actively contributing to professional development across the team.
* Play a key role in patient experience initiatives, service improvements, and clinical audits.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* HCPC registration with a degree in Occupational Therapy.
Experience
* Minimum of 2 years` experience managing complex caseloads, ideally including orthopaedics.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
* A proactive approach to continuous improvement and a commitment to patient-centred care.
