The Role & Responsibilities
You will be expected to directly manage five Estate officers, responsible for the delivery of Dover District Council's housing management Estates services, ensuring that high‑quality, customer‑focused services are delivered to tenants, contractors and colleagues. You will also oversee a designated patch of properties.
You will coach, develop and appraise staff within your team, and ensure they are equipped to deliver an excellent and efficient service that is continuously improving and highly responsive to internal and external customers' needs.
Qualifications
* Experience of line management of staff within a Housing Service or other Housing front line operation.
* Good understanding of social housing, tenancy and income recovery law.
* Proficient in the use of IT systems, including Microsoft Outlook and internet‑based systems.
* Excellent leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and coach staff.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload through effective time management.
* Educated to GCSE level (grade A‑C or level 4‑9) or equivalent; degrees welcomed.
* Demonstrable housing management and estate services experience.
* Housing Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Housing, Level 3 (desirable).
