A well-regarded secondary school in Gloucester is looking to appoint a Teacher of Music to join its Creative Arts department from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for both experienced teachers and enthusiastic ECTs.
You will deliver engaging classroom music to KS3 and KS4 students, with scope to teach A-Level for the right candidate. The department is known for its inclusive ethos and community-driven music projects.
Role Overview:

Deliver classroom music across KS3 and KS4 (Edexcel GCSE)
*
Coordinate practical activities such as band performances, vocal groups, and school musicals
*
Support pupils with composition and performance portfolios
*
Contribute to enrichment such as after-school ensembles and trips to concerts or workshops
*
Collaborate with the Creative Arts team on cross-curricular events
Candidate Requirements:

Music degree and PGCE with QTS (or expected by September)
*
Strong performance and composition background
*
Experience with digital music platforms (e.g., Sibelius, GarageBand, Logic Pro) desirable
*
A passion for inclusive, engaging music education
