Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulatory Officer - Field Based - 31634

The Regulatory Officer role is based in the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) team within Batteries, WEEE and Shipments, part of Environmental Markets and Regulation. This is a national role with officers across England, involving travel and overnight stays.
We seek professional, enthusiastic individuals to regulate businesses operating within the Producer Responsibility regime, ensuring compliance of producers, reprocessors, and exporters of waste.
Daily responsibilities include:
* Conducting audits (on-site and virtual)
* Enforcing regulations when necessary
* Addressing non-compliance issues
* Analyzing complex data for compliance decisions
* Handling sensitive information within data protection guidelines
* Contributing to process and procedure improvements
The role requires self-motivation, discipline, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a dispersed team.

No specific waste industry experience is required as full training will be provided. We value interpersonal skills such as organization, composure, IT literacy, numerical proficiency, and effective communication.
Full UK clean driving license is essential.
