Emberwood
is a destination restaurant at the heart of Francis Hotel Bath, rooted in
Bath and inspired by its people. The restaurant welcomes both hotel guests
discovering the city and locals who return time and again, drawn by a shared
appreciation for warm hospitality and thoughtful food.
At Emberwood, we believe great hospitality is built on meaningful
connections. Connections between our teams, our guests, and the trusted
partners and suppliers who support us every day. These relationships shape
how we work together, how we care for others, and how we create experiences
that feel genuine, generous, and memorable.
Our approach is centred on pride in the everyday. From the first welcome to
the final farewell, excellence is evident in the details, with care and
consideration for every plate, every service, and every interaction.
Since opening, Emberwood has attracted attention from leading voices in
food and hospitality. The restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide 2025 and
has been reviewed and featured by respected critics, including William
Sitwell and Tom Parker Bowles. Emberwood has also welcomed visits from
figures such as Marco Pierre White, reflecting the growing confidence in its
offer.
Emberwood is part of Sir Richard Sutton Ltd, a family-owned hospitality
business that takes a long-term view, investing in quality and care while
building something that lasts. We aim to create environments where teams feel
supported, trusted, and proud of the experience they create together.
