ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking Associate Lecturers to teach the topic "Technical Production Insights for Event Planners"\ in London.
London Classes
* Immediate training assignments offered this term (November/December)
* Generally taught as a 2‑day masterclass, 10‑4, 1 hr break
* On occasion taught as an elective or mandatory topic on full‑time and part‑time diploma courses
* Training location: Novotel London Excel, E16 1AA (Custom House, Elizabeth Line or DLR)
* For London classes – you must be legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom. We are not offering visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
* Familiarise yourself with the provided course teaching materials
* Ensure materials are up to date and include the latest trends and technologies
* Adapt materials to include your own examples and preferred case studies
* Deliver the training in face‑to‑face classes in London
* Facilitate interactive and engaging learning experiences
* Provide real‑world insights into the subject area
About the course
Aim: The MasterClass in Technical Production Insights for Event Planners aims to introduce event managers, coordinators, and planners to the key considerations involved in sourcing, securing, and collaborating with technical service providers for events.
Summary: Effective event management or event planning benefits from a professional understanding of technical production. An ability to knowledgeably and intelligently discuss production needs with a range of technicians, contractors and suppliers enhances your ability to ensure your client and event receives the right technical services and products.
Learn about aspects of technical production that help planners plan better— with this introduction to event rigging and staging, audio systems, vision systems, lighting, pyrotechnics, temporary electricity supplies, and temporary structures.
EXPERIENCE
* A thorough and comprehensive applied understanding of technical production for events
* Experience as an event manager who has sourced, secured and worked with technical production services
* Or as a technical expert who has provided a range of production services for events
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Strong organisational and planning abilities
* Ability to provide practical, real‑world insights
Ideal
* Experience in lecturing, tutoring, teaching, mentoring or training
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal
* Qualifications in event management or in an area of technical event production expertise
* A training, teaching or coaching qualification
REMUNERATION
These are freelance associate roles for delivery in London.
Rates for this subject: London classes, £250 per day (10 am‑4 pm, 1 hr break)
Please note no travel or other expenses are paid. Therefore this role best suits applicants located in the Greater London vicinity.
Invoices are submitted following delivery and our payment terms are 30 days from receipt of invoice.
