You will lead the mechanical engineering team, set and maintain high technical standards, and ensure successful delivery from concept through to high-volume production — balancing performance, cost, and reliability targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the mechanical design and assembly process for electric drive systems.
* Plan, coordinate, and uphold mechanical engineering standards, systems, and documentation.
* Manage the transition from prototype to high-volume manufacture, working with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
* Support prototype builds, tooling, and test rig development to validate new technologies.
* Ensure consistent, repeatable product development on time and to budget.
* Coach, mentor, and develop the mechanical engineering team to deliver against KPIs.
* Drive continuous improvement, Lean techniques, and best practice engineering processes.
* Engage with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies as needed.
