About RTN Mental Health Solutions

At RTN Mental Health Solutions, we’re on a mission to transform the way neurodevelopmental and primary care mental health services are delivered across the UK. As a dynamic and rapidly expanding organisation, we combine clinical excellence with commercial innovation to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. From NHS partnerships to private services, we’re redefining what accessible and effective support can look like.

The Role

We’re looking for a strategic, driven, and detail-oriented Strategic Partnerships & Bid Manager to lead our business development and tendering efforts. This role is vital to RTN’s continued growth and innovation, playing a central role in expanding our NHS and private sector reach.

You’ll be responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities, building trusted networks, and leading the creation of high-quality, successful bids. As a connector between RTN and the wider commissioning landscape, you’ll ensure our services remain competitive, relevant, and impactful.

Role Responsibilities

Business Development & Strategic Growth

* Identify, track, and qualify new NHS and private sector commissioning opportunities aligned with RTN’s service offer.
* Proactively research and develop new procurement routes, including ICB partnerships, DPS frameworks, and pilot models.
* Maintain a live pipeline of tenders and opportunities, ensuring RTN is well-positioned for the most relevant bids.

Bid Management & Tender Writing

* Lead the full bid lifecycle including scoping, writing, coordinating, editing, and submitting tenders.
* Produce compelling, high-scoring, and compliant submissions, with particular focus on NHS tenders.
* Work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and governance teams to create accurate and persuasive responses.

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships

* Build and sustain strong commissioner relationships, networks, and partnerships within the NHS and wider public sector.
* Represent RTN at commissioner meetings, events, and forums to strengthen visibility and influence.
* Identify joint bid or subcontracting opportunities and manage partner engagement.

Contract Mobilisation & Post-Award Engagement

* Support the mobilisation of new contracts by liaising with internal teams and commissioners.
* Maintain ongoing commissioner relationships to support performance reviews, renewals, and future opportunities.

Market Insight & Commercial Strategy

* Track policy, procurement, and commissioning trends in NHS and independent mental health sectors.
* Provide regular insights and commercial recommendations to senior leadership.
* Contribute to the development of RTN’s national positioning and long-term business development strategy.

About You

Essential

* Minimum 3 years’ experience writing and managing successful NHS tenders, with strong evidence of high-quality bid outcomes.
* Proven track record of identifying new opportunities, building pipelines, and creating networks across the public sector.
* Experience working directly with NHS commissioners, procurement teams, or ICBs.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder bid processes from end to end.
* Strong understanding of NHS procurement platforms (e.g. Atamis, Proactis, Contracts Finder).
* Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to produce persuasive and compliant bids.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, workstreams, and stakeholder inputs.
* Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience.

Desirable

* Experience in mental health, neurodevelopmental, or community-based health services.
* Knowledge of contract mobilisation processes and commissioner relationship management.
* APMP or similar bid management qualification.
* Experience developing or supporting a commercial strategy in a healthcare organisation.

Company Benefits

* Casual dress
* Company pension and annual bonus
* Referral programme
* Flexible remote/hybrid working

Why Join RTN?

* Be at the forefront of transforming ADHD and Autism care.
* Shape clinical services with a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary team.
* Play a key leadership role in a company committed to clinical excellence and innovation.
* Enjoy a supportive and collaborative culture where your work has real impact.

If you’re ready to lead with purpose and drive lasting change in mental health services, we’d love to hear from you.
