Overview
Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a Senior Environmental Health Officer or Environmental Health Officer to join the Food Team. Reporting to the Team Manager, you will work with Senior and Environmental Health Officers, Authorised Officers and Technical Staff. The post supports the delivery of Food Law Regulation within the Service. Aberdeenshire offers a mix of home-based and flexible office-based working, with the ability to travel within the North East of Scotland at short notice.

Responsibilities
* As a Senior Environmental Health Officer, you will be expected to have enhanced knowledge and experience of food law regulation and be a point of contact within the Service for this subject.
* As an Environmental Health Officer, you will be expected to have general knowledge and experience of food law regulation.
* This position is located within the Food Team, with the candidate expected to support the Team Manager in the delivery of Food Law Regulation.
* The role includes contributing to the delivery of a quality service and continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
Requirements
* This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
* Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outwith the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required, and you will be required to provide this check.
* A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the satisfactory outcome of both pre-employment checks (PVG and Overseas Criminal Record Check).
* This post has a minimum requirement of one reference, which must be your current or most recent employer.
