Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical company based in Berkshire. The role involves applying advanced Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) technology and other biophysical techniques to study drug-target interactions, supporting In Vitro Pharmacology to facilitate drug discovery projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support small molecule drug discovery by generating high-quality fragment screening data.
* Characterize binding properties and kinetics of therapeutic molecules to guide molecule selection from initial hit to final candidate.
* Assist with integrating AI into experimental analysis, designing guides for data evaluation and historical data investigation.
* Support the SPR team in antibody drug discovery assays and establish orthogonal screening methods like thermal shift assays.
Role Requirements
* Relevant scientific degree.
* Industry experience with biophysical assays and SPR technology.
* Practical knowledge of fragment screening, thermal shift assays, and related biophysical techniques.
