A specialist primary school in Hammersmith is looking for a dedicated, passionate SEN Teacher to join their team in March 2025. The role involves working with children who have complex needs, including PMLD, ASD, and physical disabilities, within a dedicated SEN setting.
Responsibilities include:
* Deliver personalised teaching in a multi-sensory environment for students with complex needs
* Collaborate with a team of therapists and support staff to ensure the holistic development of each child
* Implement EHCPs to track progress and ensure each child is supported to achieve their best
* Provide a nurturing, engaging learning environment that promotes independence and self-confidence
* Communicate with families to ensure effective home-school partnerships
The ideal candidate will have:
* QTS or equivalent teaching qualification with experience in PMLD or complex needs
* Empathy, creativity, and resilience in teaching students with profound learning difficulties
* A passion for inclusive education and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual needs
* Experience working with EHCPs or a strong desire to gain experience in this area
