External Communications Manager (Scottish Forestry)
Job description
Scottish Forestry is at the heart of protecting, expanding and promoting Scotland’s forests and woodlands. We’re looking for a talented External Communications Manager to support on media relations, social media and stakeholder engagement - ensuring our vital work is clearly understood by the public, stakeholders, and government.
As part of a small, friendly, and collaborative team, you’ll support the Senior Media Manager managing media enquiries, developing proactive stories and overseeing our social media presence. You’ll provide expert advice to colleagues at all levels, brief senior staff, and support Ministerial visits.
A key part of the role is assisting the Head of Corporate Communications with a new stakeholder engagement strategy - offering insights on audience behaviours, influencer networks and communication flows.
We’d love to hear from experienced communicators, with a proven track record in media relations and social media, exceptional writing and storytelling skills and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
