Salary: £150 – £250 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to work in secondary schools across Cambridge. This role is offered through our education recruitment agency and provides opportunities for long-term placements, short-term cover, and flexible teaching work depending on your availability.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging English lessons and inspiring students to develop their skills in reading, writing, and critical thinking. Teaching will primarily be across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
This role is ideal for experienced teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), or teachers seeking flexible agency work in supportive school environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Teach students across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential).
* Encourage students to develop strong literacy, analytical, and communication skills.
* Maintain effective classroom management and positive learning environments.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback where required.
* Work collaboratively with school staff and English departments.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting.
* Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and GCSE requirements.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* A passion for supporting students in achieving their potential.
