About Us
The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students each year.

1. Bedford College, Central Bedfordshire College and Tresham College across Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire

The Role
As Executive Assistant, you will provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to the Executive Director of Curriculum. You will play a key role in ensuring effective organisation, planning and smooth daily operations.
Key responsibilities include:
5. Acting as first point of contact, managing correspondence, calls and the Director’s inbox
6. Coordinating diaries, prioritising meetings and liaising with stakeholders
7. Preparing agendas, collating and issuing papers, taking minutes and circulating actions
8. Supporting with reports, presentations, and maintaining accurate documentation
9. Organising and servicing meetings, events and stakeholder engagements
10. Coordinating expenses, one-to-ones and annual appraisals
11. Handling sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
12. Supporting the wider curriculum operations, strategy implementation and key projects
This is a varied, fast-paced role requiring excellent organisation, forward planning and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
13. Experience as a Personal/Executive Assistant, providing diary management, correspondence and secretarial support
14. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
15. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work to deadlines
16. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence to liaise at all levels
17. High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
18. GCSEs (A–C / Level 2) in English and Maths (essential)
19. A Level 3 qualification in Business or Administration (desirable)
20. Experience in the Further Education sector (desirable)
