Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Administration - Clinical Coding professional to join our healthcare team. This role involves managing clinical documentation, ensuring accurate coding, and supporting administrative functions within a medical environment. Responsibilities
* Accurately review and interpret clinical documentation to assign appropriate medical codes using recognised coding standards.
* Maintain comprehensive and precise records within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
* Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to clarify documentation as needed.
* Utilise Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence.
* Manage multiple tasks efficiently through effective time management and organisational skills.
* Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and confidentiality standards.
* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing queries related to coding or administrative processes promptly and professionally.
* Assist in the continuous improvement of coding procedures and administrative workflows.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in an administrative role within a healthcare or medical environment is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical coding standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
* Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Good IT literacy with the ability to adapt to new software systems quickly.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks undertaken.
