Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the care and maintenance of plants, including watering, pruning, and repotting.
* Organise and maintain plant displays, ensuring they are visually appealing and healthy.
* Provide assistance to customers, answering queries, offering advice, and helping with plant selection.
* Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and organised.
* Customer deliveries.
* Help with inventory management and stock replenishment.
* Assist in loading and unloading deliveries of plants.
* Support the team with any other tasks as required.
* Assist in the day-to-day management of a diverse plant selection, ensuring quality and presentation.
* You will be required to work every third weekend on a rota basis with the other team members to ensure that plants are watered and the site is safe and secure.
* On busy days you will be required to work past your normal hours.
Skills and Qualifications:
* A genuine interest in plants, gardening, and horticulture.
* Previous experience in a nursery, garden centre, or similar environment is preferred but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.
* The role requires walking for long periods outdoors in various weather conditions.
* The role requires the ability to lift and move heavy plants and materials.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Team player with a positive attitude.
* Clean driving licence. (This is essential).
