What skills and experience we're looking for

William Leech Primary School has a unique opportunity for a Primary SENDCo to work closely with the Headteacher to help lead the implementation and development of the SEND provision across our school. Although SENDCo experience is desirable, the NASENCo qualification is not essential. Professional development opportunities for the new SENDCO will be offered, including relevant statutory training as well as regular coaching from the Trust. The successful candidate will be part of the school senior leadership team and will work closely with an experienced Primary School Improvement team to play an essential role in supporting the school by ensuring that there is an inclusive and effective SEND provision that engages our pupils, their families and our staff. This role will primarily be based at William Leech Primary School, but the successful candidate may be asked to work at other sites within the Trust in the future.

* Support the Director of SEND in the successful implementation of the Trust vision including its Christian character, and contribute to significantly raising standards of achievement for learners of all ages and abilities.
* Support the development of systems for identifying, assessing and reviewing SEND provision.
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support the learning and development of the children.
* Attend consultation evenings and keep parents informed about their child’s progress.
* Champion the consideration and development of all aspects of innovative practice in relation to SEND provision and the needs of individual learners with SEND.

Benefits We Offer

* An excellent pension scheme with a generous 28.68% employer contribution from the Trust.
* 24/7 access to our Employee Assistance Programme, providing confidential wellbeing and support services.
* Comprehensive mental health and wellbeing support for all staff through Dittolo.

* Gym membership discounts, with reduced rates at Sculpt Ashington and Places Leisure.
* Eligibility for a Blue Light Card, giving Trust staff exclusive discounts at major retailers including Apple, JD Sports and TUI.
* Cycle to work scheme
