A highly regarded GP surgery, rated in the top 6% nationally, is seeking to recruit a part-time Receptionist to join their friendly and supportive team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within the NHS as a GP Receptionist. As the first point of contact for patients, you will deliver exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks in a busy practice environment. Working Hours:- The successful Receptionist will join a reception team of five and will work one of the following schedules: Option 1: Monday: 8:00am – 2:00pm Thursday: 8:00am – 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break) Friday: 8:00am – 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break) Option 2: Monday: 8:00am – 2:00pm Thursday: 8:00am – 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break) Friday: 1:00pm – 6:30pm Key Responsibilities of the Receptionist:- *Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner *Manage incoming telephone calls with excellent phone etiquette and direct calls appropriately *Book and manage appointments efficiently *Perform accurate data entry to maintain up-to-date patient records *Handle clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and photocopying *Maintain a tidy, organised, and professional reception area *Support the wider administrative team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations The ideal Receptionist will be: *Experienced in NHS GP reception duties (essential) *Enthusiastic and approachable *A fast learner with strong IT skills and confidence using a Patient Record System (EMIS Web experience desirable, though training will be provided) *Self-motivated and able to work independently *Hardworking, with a positive and proactive attitude *Eligible to work in the UK This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing practice committed to delivering outstanding patient care
