The Logistics Automation Solutions Design Manager will oversee and drive the development of cutting-edge automation solutions within the logistics function. This role is hybrid with offices in Coventry and the south west and requires expertise in logistics operations and automated logistics solutions (ASRS, AGV's etc).\n\nClient Details\n\nThe company is a well-established manufacturing organisation, known for its innovative approach and commitment to operational excellence. As a medium-sized enterprise, they prioritise efficiency and sustainability in their logistics operations.\n\nDescription\n\nDevelop and implement automation strategies for logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate automation solutions into existing operations and for future new sites.\nEvaluate and select appropriate technologies and vendors to meet automation objectives.\nConduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations for process improvements.\nMonitor and optimise the performance of automated systems to ensure maximum productivity.\nLead project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessments.\nProvide technical guidance and training to internal teams on automation tools and systems.\nMaintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all automation initiatives.Profile\n\nA successful Logistics Automation Solutions Design Manager should have:\n\nA strong background in logistics, automation design, or a related field.\nProven experience in integrating automated solutions into logistics or supply chain operations.\nTechnical knowledge of automated logistics solutions, systems, and emerging technologies.\nExperience with AutoCad, Sketchup.
