The Role
This is a great opportunity to join our Academic Services Admin Team, which provides high-quality administrative support for the Academic Services Directorate, comprising the University Library and the Learning and Teaching Development Service.
We are seeking someone with excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, who can work accurately under pressure in a busy office environment. You will be part of a high-performing team delivering excellent administrative services across the directorate.

Key Accountabilities
* Perform a range of administrative tasks to high standards, meeting deadlines and adhering to University policies. Tasks include scheduling, minute-taking, diary management, producing newsletters, receiving visitors, maintaining spreadsheets, and producing correspondence.
* Assist colleagues with web forms, spreadsheets, and mailing lists.
* Respond professionally to inquiries via phone, email, and in person, referring queries as appropriate.
* Procure goods and services in line with regulations, including stationery and travel arrangements.
* Review and update administrative procedures, forms, and guides; support the development of new workflows.
* Maintain databases and spreadsheets to support reporting requirements such as the SCONUL Statistical return and Customer Service Excellence.
* Provide cover for the wider admin team as needed.
Essential skills include proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office), excellent organisational abilities, initiative, flexibility, calmness under pressure, strong communication skills, and attention to detail. Experience supporting senior managers and managing conflicting priorities is also required.
