HRA Income & Statutory Compliance Officer
This pivotal role ensures operational efficiency of the HRA’s Income team by managing rent collections for our 5,600 tenants.
Flexible working by agreement with the willingness to travel to Taunton or Wellington as required. The salary is £28,598 - £32,061 per annum for 37 hours/week, with 25 days annual leave, plus statutory bank holidays.
Responsibilities include:
* Monitoring and maintaining council housing tenants’ rent accounts, ensuring payments are collected in a timely and accurate way.
* Calculating and applying rent charges or refunds due in line with changes in benefits, tenants’ circumstances or property changes.
* Supporting the annual rent and service charge increase and year-end process.
Requirements:
* Experience of income collection, rent account management or debt recovery in a social housing or similar environment.
* Knowledge of the social housing rent standard and our legal duties as a landlord.
* Experience of a fast-paced, operational environment and strong financial IT skills.
