Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with an established manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Production Planner.
Overall Purpose:
* Timely ordering of board to ensure availability in production, that enables the plant to achieve optimum OTIF and customer requirements.
* Scheduling machine line ups in order to optimise production (without compromising OTIF).
Key Duties:
* Complete daily machine loadings and distribute.
* Arranging effective converter line ups.
* Monitoring plant loading and providing order updates / delivery dates to Sales and Transport.
* Liaising with dispatch for them to optimise trailer utilisation. This includes bringing work forward, ensuring it doesn’t affect other deliveries.
* Maintaining shifts and Planned Maintenance in the Kiwi system.
* Monitoring and transferring any outstanding stock.
* Order board on a daily basis, ensuring all machines have availability, updating PCS with the relevant information.
* Producing and distributing the daily delivery schedule.
* Supplier complaints.
* Analyse the BIB report, taking necessary action where required.
* Monitoring and fixing of Kiwi suspect data.
* Provide holiday cover to the planning team and deputise in the absence of key members of the team.
* Always follow safety procedures and act on unsafe acts and conditions.
* Undergo training as required by the needs of the business.
* Carry out any other duties within the limits of training and capability.
* Attend daily planning meetings when required.
Key Requirements:
* Computer skills (knowledge of Work and Excel advantageous).
* Good organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise and attention to detail.
* Numerate, literate and with analytical mindset and computer skills.
* Communication skills.
* Team Player.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Confidence and can‑do attitude.
The Package:
* £30,000 – £32,000 per annum.
* Monday – Friday, 0800‑1600 with 30 mins paid lunch break.
* 25+8 bank holidays.
* Pension – Up to 6% employer contributions.
