About the role
At NEXT we have a great opportunity for a Visual & Creative Merchandiser to join our Menswear Retail Marketing team based at Head Office in Leicestershire. As a Visual & Creative Merchandiser you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a visually inspiring shopping environment for the NEXT customer focusing specifically on Menswear. You will help to create Head Office VM Guidelines to a high level, supporting & developing store teams along the way. You will have a creative eye and the ability to communicate effectively, with a passion and genuine interest in Visual Merchandising. Retail VM experience is essential.
Main Tasks
* Planning and implementing visual merchandising phase changes inline with the mockshop critical path
* Maintaining strong communication with the Menswear product team throughout the layouts
* Creative input into the layouts and display equipment
* Research and feedback ideas to enhance the layout, through merchandising and equipment
* Working on projects to move the Menswear department forward
* Store opening & refit support
Producing the Visual Merchandise Guidelines
* Coordination of the visual merchandise guideline packs for each phase
* Communicating and writing memos for stores
* Point of contact for product teams and stores queries
* Creating a strong relationship and working collaboratively with the Menswear Product team
You will be able to…
* Have excellent planning and time management skills
* Have personal drive, motivation and resilience
* Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Be able prioritise and work to tight deadlines
* Be flexible to travel / stay away for short periods and work additional hours if necessary
* Have experience of working with Menswear product (desirable but not essential)
