Position: HP Product Developer I
Key Objectives and Expectations
With an innovative mindset, this role contributes to Product Development activities within the fast-paced New Categories Heated Product (HP) portfolio.
The Product Developer I is responsible for executing assigned workstreams within the global product deployment portfolio to support the 5-year innovation pipeline.
This role involves applying scientific principles and expertise to conduct prototyping, lab work, data analysis, and manage sensory evaluations across assigned projects.
Impact on the Organization
This role provides practical and technical expertise on prototypes, experimental methods, and product specifications, guiding indirect developer roles within the team.
It supports Senior Product Developers in gaining technical knowledge, ensuring products meet quality and performance standards aligned with business objectives, and are developed using robust data and methodologies.
Responsibilities
1. Drive the delivery of workstreams within HP consumable deployment projects.
2. Apply scientific expertise to prototyping, lab work, data analysis, and sensory evaluations.
3. Understand the performance of new HP consumables and their interaction with devices to assess sensory performance.
4. Provide technical input and support to Senior Product Developers, ensuring project goals are met.
5. Maintain quality control over product development outputs, following R&D processes and methodologies.
6. Identify opportunities for process improvements and promote best practices.
7. Create work plans independently to meet project deadlines.
8. Support and guide team members in product development and lab practices.
Candidate Profile
* Experience in project management, data analysis, and translating data into recommendations.
* Proven experience in product development and testing.
* Technical curiosity, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
* Knowledge of prototyping, sampling, and testing procedures.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Knowledge of next-generation product composition is advantageous.
* Understanding of project management and development timelines.
* Degree or equivalent experience in science, FMCG, or Food & Beverage Product Development.
Preferred Experience
* Experience in tobacco product development, including casings, flavorings, and manufacturing processes.
Qualifying Questions
* Recent experience in laboratory testing or FMCG product development?
* Familiarity with sensory testing and data analysis?
* Experience working across multiple projects with changing priorities?
