Job Description:
The role involves reporting on pulp and paper markets in Europe. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, driven, and passionate about working in a fast-paced, successful team. Strong teamwork and flexibility are essential. The reporter will develop expertise in niche sectors, publish quality prices and insightful content, and support the adoption of Fastmarkets' prices and EEI strategy.
Principal accountabilities:
* Develop in-depth market knowledge to generate representative prices and content.
* Collect pricing data, set prices according to methodology, and ensure compliance with IOSCO principles.
* Support colleagues to maintain process consistency and build knowledge.
* Peer review prices for accuracy and representativeness.
* Write market commentaries, news, and insightful content with PRA angles.
* Expand industry contacts for data submission and news exclusives.
* Handle market inquiries and maintain transparency.
* Assist in reviewing and managing pricing pipelines and opportunities.
* Contribute to market engagement activities, including producing PRA content, participating in events, and promoting the company on social media.
Key interfaces:
* Work within a regional team to develop prices, news, and commentary.
* Report to regional editors or managers.
* Collaborate with other functions while maintaining editorial and commercial segregation.
