SEN Teaching Assistant – Healthcare/Medical Background

Milk Education is partnering with a specialist school in Tottenham to recruit a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in healthcare, nursing, or care who want to apply their skills in an educational setting, supporting children and young people with special educational needs and complex medical/physical disabilities.
Many pupils require additional medical support, including the use of wheelchairs, suctioning, and personalised care routines. You will be an essential part of the team, ensuring students feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting children with a range of special educational and medical needs
* Providing personal and medical care (e.g., suctioning, feeding, mobility support, administering care plans)
* Encouraging pupil independence, engagement, and participation in learning
* Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and medical professionals to deliver holistic support
We are looking for candidates who:
* Have experience in healthcare, nursing, or care (e.g., healthcare assistants, support workers, SEN carers)
* Are confident in delivering personal/medical care sensitively and professionally
* Bring patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young people with SEN
* Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
