I am working with a Public Sector Organisation who are looking for a Director Real Estate Management. This will be an interim role for 6 months while a restructure takes place, there is a possibility of permanent position following the completion of the 6-months. This senior leadership role is responsible for the full spectrum of estate, asset, and facilities management across a large and complex public sector property portfolio, comprising approximately 430 buildings and 780,000m across Greater London. The role ensures compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and oversees key estate functions including acquisitions, disposals, valuations, landlord-tenant relations, and residential property management. It also manages outsourced facilities services and commercial contracts, while leading a multidisciplinary team and supplier network. The position plays a strategic role in shaping organisational structures, governance, and workplace design standards to support smarter, more efficient ways of working.

In this pivotal role, you will:
Lead estate, asset, and facilities management across the MPS estate.
Ensure compliance with health & safety and regulatory standards.
Manage outsourced FM services, PFI contracts, and a residential portfolio.
Drive estate transformation and smarter working initiatives.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders and lead a multidisciplinary team of 60+ staff and 200+ supplier personnel.

What we re looking for:
Chartered professional (RICS, CIOB, RIBA) with extensive leadership experience.
Proven success managing large-scale estates and complex supply chains.
Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in workplace design and transformation is a plus.
Experience within Local Government, Central Government, Blue Light Services, Charities or Higher Education
