As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will perform a vital role in our children's lives, working as part of a team, and being a responsible, trusted 'parent figure' for looked-after children. Building strong, positive relationships with children who have experienced traumatic and difficult backgrounds. Supporting their educational and emotional development, helping them to heal and thrive. Plan and co-ordinate engaging, fun activities, encouraging the children's leisure interests. Ensure a structured, safe, comfortable home environment. Follow regulatory processes using IT, good administration and record keeping.

Responsibilities
* Dedicated to child safeguarding
* Empathetic and effective communicators, able to form trusted, meaningful relationships with children

* Resilient and patient, capable of handling challenging behaviours
* Proactive and creative in activity planning
* Capable of practical 'life skills' including cooking, cleaning and good home management
* Detail-oriented and competent users of IT, to ensure that every child's needs are met and documented in line with regulatory expectations and standards
Essential requirements
* A valid UK driving licence and a willingness to travel as part of the role, including areas of Eastleigh, Southampton and Head Office in Ringwood.
* Willingness to pursue relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families Practitioner.
Hours and schedule
* Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, plus 10 sleep-in shifts per month and overtime opportunities (average of 3 long shifts and sleeps per week)
* Roster: 3 week rolling roster to include weekends and Bank holidays
