The Opportunity
A brand-new opticians practice in the heart of Bath are looking to welcome a full-time Optical Assistant to their friendly and professional team. This is a fantastic chance to be part of an exciting new store while working with a forward-thinking practice that values great service, teamwork, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcoming patients and ensuring a first-class customer experience
* Assisting with frame selection and providing style advice
* Handling appointments, bookings, and general reception duties
* Supporting Optometrists and the wider team with pre-screening and clinical support where needed
* Explaining lens options, coatings, and pricing in a clear and supportive way
* Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring smooth store operations
About You
* Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is essential
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Confident in using practice management systems and handling admin duties
* A proactive, team-focused approach with a genuine passion for optics
* Reliable, organised, and ready to support a brand-new practice as it grows
