You will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on an ambitious and growing B2B organisation. This is an office-based role at our Milton Keynes office, with the ability to travel within the UK as required. You will be required to deliver as follows. Execute all internal and external work to originate and deliver mid-market commodity deals typically via preferred Brokers. Work with other Shell Business Units to support up-selling of Shell products outside of the commodity tender or as part of the commodity tender request. Develop new lead generation through desk research, sales calls, visits, events, roadshows, response to marketing campaigns and other networking opportunities. Build, develop and maintain relationships with existing clients, as well as prospects to effectively manage all partner and customer accounts. Achieve sales targets and individual KPI’s within set Budget. Attend relevant conferences, exhibitions, corporate events and Partner events. Produce quarterly account plans, regular reporting on sales activities, achievements, challenges and planned target prospects. Ensure that all customers and brokers continue to be satisfied with a high standard of sales service. Prepare special reports or undertake special projects as directed by management or line manager. Assist in creating and delivering sales forecasts, goals and objectives. Operating to agreed business plans, budgets and targets across the Shell Energy portfolio. Cement business relationships at all levels within target customers to ensure that the company is appropriately aligned commercially, technically and operationally to take advantage of all potential revenue generating opportunities. Lead commercial bid and tender submissions where other internal teams are required to prepare requirements. Build and maintain excellent relationships internally working closely with colleagues ensuring current business performance is optimised, standards of customer service enhanced, and new opportunities fully exploited. Provide the point of customer contact in relation to sales support delivery and proactively ensure that all key customers are well supported, and the company is responsive to addressing their needs. Utilise Shell IT tools, such as Salesforce and Junifer to help develop customer knowledge and ensure that the sales journey is up to date Continually protect and enhance Shell Energy ’s client reputation/perception in the marketplace through the application of carefully planned customer development initiatives. Undertake to acquire and continue to develop a comprehensive understanding of our client’s full range of services and capabilities, and convey to customers any new developments which promote the company’s brand for quality assets and top class service. Operate to budget requirements set by the Head of Mid Market Sales Generally, adopt a ‘no surprises’ approach to reporting and communication with the Mid Market Sales Manager / Head of Mid Market Sales and other Senior Managers and be prepared to challenge the norm in a constructive and proactive manner. What you’ll need to help you make the best of the role: Sales and Negotiation skills : A proven track record of success within a Broker/Partnership environment and be able to demonstrate previous achievement of commodity energy sales targets. Product Knowledge : You’ll have experience of selling fixed/flexible/basket power & gas supply commodity contracts to mid-market businesses. Interpersonal skills : Strong communicator with ability to communicate at C- level, both written and verbal; Ability to develop strong professional relationships internally and externally.
