KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Preventative & Reactive Maintenance:
o Implement and maintain a planned servicing and preventative maintenance program across the site.
o Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns.
o Respond quickly to breakdowns and complete repairs efficiently while considering production schedules.
o Perform preventative maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability.
* Troubleshooting & Repairs:
o Diagnose and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of industrial machinery.
o Identify and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
o Assess whether repairs can be completed in-house or if replacement is necessary, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
* Collaboration & Communication:
o Work closely with the Maintenance Lead to source necessary materials from approved suppliers at the best price.
o Keep production cell leaders informed of repair progress and estimated completion times.
o Communicate effectively with the Production Manager regarding major equipment failures and required downtime for maintenance.
* Compliance & Documentation:
o Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and assist in implementing company policies and procedures.
o Maintain accurate servicing and maintenance records.
o Manage coolant supply to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
* Flexibility & Continuous Improvement:
o Be available for overtime when required to maximize equipment uptime.
o Continuously look for ways to improve maintenance processes and reduce machine downtime.
o Perform additional tasks as required, within reason and capability, as agreed with the Production Manager.
