Job Title
2 x Gloji Netball Health and Wellbeing Coach (1x Fawley, New Forest, Hampshire. 1x Basingstoke, Hampshire)
Description
Join us on our journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive!
At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier! We’re looking for a netball health and wellbeing coach to join our Hampshire and Isle of Wight service on a casual contract basis as part of our bank team! Gloji Hampshire and IoW is the commissioned provider of the county and island’s tier 2 weight management service. We offer a variety of weight management programmes for residents of Hampshire and IoW, including our 12-week netball programme, which is where you come in!
Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.
A typical day as a Netball health and wellbeing coach might include:
* Supporting the delivery of our netball programme by managing your own group and organising the matches, as well as weighing participants and offering evidence-based support with a focus on diet, nutrition, physical activity, behaviour change, and psychological support.
* Working with partner organisations to create referral routes and meet targets.
* Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for residents using our policies and procedures.
* Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources!
* Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance.
* Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values!
Requirements
More than anything, we are looking for a team player who puts their heart in to their work. We’ve got some core values that run through everything we do, and we’d love it if they resonate with you too!
Be the change
You like helping people. You’ll be working with those who need help the most, empowering them to make positive changes to thrive.
Be effective
You’re patient and can adapt under pressure. Always happy to make time for other people. And have a great attitude.
Be happy
You recognise the power of a smile. You value a fun, supportive workplace and want to come to work raring to go (check out our rating on Glassdoor).
Be successful
You are motivated and driven. Happy working solo or as part of a team, you love meeting targets. And will be given opportunities to contribute and develop your career.
Be big-hearted
You want to make a difference. Working with a like-minded team of optimistic people, we want the same thing to do meaningful work and change lives.
To work with us in this role you will need to have an interest in health, exercise, and netball, and ideally experience in supporting clients to make healthy lifestyle choices. If you have qualifications that allow you to umpire netball on occasions that the umpire cannot attend that would be favourable. However, we hire based on attitude over traditional skills and experience so if you feel you are right for the job, we would love to hear from you!
Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for someone who is seeking a varied and flexible working pattern. While usually you will be located primarily at one location at a regular time, in the event of staff absence a willingness to travel to cover other netball groups in the county would be required. Travel costs to a group other than your regular one will be covered in these instances.
