Job Title: Commercial Contracts Manager

You will lead and manage the end-to-end contracting process across the organisation, ensuring that all contracts are legally sound, commercially viable, and aligned with strategic objectives.
The Contracts Manager will act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, mitigating risk and driving value through effective contract negotiation, management, and compliance.
Responsibilities:
* Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of contracts including supplier agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and partnership agreements.
* Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements, company policies, and industry regulations.
* Collaborate with procurement, legal, finance, and operational teams to support contract lifecycle management.
* Monitor contract performance, obligations, and deliverables, ensuring timely renewals, amendments, and terminations.
* Maintain a centralised contract repository and ensure accurate record-keeping and version control.
* Identify and mitigate contractual risks, escalating issues as appropriate.
* Provide guidance and training to internal teams on contract terms and best practices.
* Support dispute resolution and contract enforcement processes when necessary.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of contract templates, processes, and governance frameworks.
Person Specification:
Essential:
* Proven experience in contract management, commercial law, or procurement.
* Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
* Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously.
* Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable:
* Degree in Law, Business, or related field.
* Professional certification (e.g., IACCM, CIPS).
* Experience in [e.g., public sector, marine construction or engineering].

* External: Legal, Suppliers, Clients, Legal Advisors, Regulatory Bodies
